Our Services

Usually, patients are concerned about four different aspects of their treatment.

• How Long will it take?
• How Much will it cost?
• Will it Hurt?
• Will I be Happy?

How Long?

“We don’t know. Yet.”

Every new patient should have a comprehensive dental exam. This is what you, as a patient, deserve in our office or any other.

The exam will include:

• Complete medical and dental history review
• Oral cancer screening of all the soft tissues of your mouth
• Charting of all teeth and fillings
• Complete set of digital x-rays when necessary and appropriate (we use digital x-rays when possible to provide instant analysis at one-tenth the exposure level of old film x-rays)
• Periodontal exam of the supporting bone and soft tissue around the teeth (80% of all adult patients have some degree of periodontal concerns- periodontal disease is the number one cause of tooth loss in the USA)
• Clinical exam to detect new cavities, assess the condition of old fillings, and address your concerns.
• Clinical photos of your smile, any problem teeth, a shade check of how bright your teeth are and other photos as necessary.

The dentist will then make a diagnosis of problems and come up with a treatment plan. A treatment plan is a “roadmap” you may follow on your journey to optimal dental health.

The treatment plan will specify:

• What kind and how many visits you will need with our hygienists
• What sort of specialists you may need to see
• What sort of treatment appointments you may need in our office
• What sort of continuing care you will need after active treatment

“The comprehensive dental exam is the best value for your dollar in the healthcare marketplace.”

How much?

“Dental care is not cheap, however, dental neglect is more expensive.”

If you are a shopper, you will undoubtedly find offices in the area that are less expensive. We have many patients that come to our office that have tried this route.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our care and the satisfaction of our patients.

“If you like our approach to your care, tell others; If you have problems- tell us.”

We do have a financial policy which allows you to access our services while staying within your budget.

Our fees are pre-registered with Delta Dental and have been shown to be within the 90th percentile of all dental offices in the Portsmouth Area. (i.e., We have fees that are equal to or less than 90% of the offices in this geographical area.)

We are a Delta Dental Provider. We work with other dental provider insurances. (over 200 carriers) We can help you maximize your benefits & minimize your co-pay.

For those insurance companies which have their own fee schedules, we will expect a co-payment from patients on the day of treatment should the fees not be in line with our Delta Dental Fees. Delta has many different plans available. We are familiar with them all.

Will it Hurt?

Too many patients come to us with stories of previous traumatic dental experiences.
Most patients are surprised at the comfort of modern dentistry.

Our doctors and staff have all been dental patients. We can empathize with you and calm your fears. In some cases, if necessary, we can prescribe pre-visit sedatives to help the fearful patient.

Dental problems take many years to develop. Quality, comprehensive and optimal dental care is not an “overnight” phenomenon. We will work with you to maintain your comfort but we don’t do “sleep dentistry.”

Will I Be Happy?

Yes, you will be pleased with the quality of care you recieve here.

Some images of before and after treatments will be available soon.
